Successful and timely operations against terrorists have been conducted in various parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, in which 13 terrorists were killed.
The operations were launched based on intelligence reports in a bid to thwart terrorist attacks.
The ISPR informed that the first operation was launched in Bannu district where three terrorists were killed in a successful operation.
The second major operation took place in the Bara area of Khyber district, where, acting on information about the presence of terrorists, forces eliminated another 10 terrorists.

According to the spokesperson, the terrorists killed during the operation were involved in various anti-state activities and their safe-houses have also been eliminated.
Operations also led to the seizure of terrorists’ weapons and other items of equipment.
Officials say that search and tracing is continuing as more terrorists are likely to be present in the area, and the forces will not relent in their efforts to flush out anti-state elements.
Meanwhile, the people commended the prompt and effective response of the security forces and thanked them.
The citizens believe that these steps will further boost the peace in the region and lower the possibility of terrorism.
Security forces are determined to continue the operations against terrorists relentlessly to maintain peace in the country and to eliminate terrorism at every cost.
