Mary James Gill also wrote on X, “This is not just an act of cruelty against a child, it is a stain on our collective conscience. Thirteen-year-old Zarnab Noor, a poor Christian girl working as a domestic worker in Johar Town, Lahore, was subjected to brutal violence, had her head forcibly shaved, and was kept away from her parents for months. Today, she and her family live in fear for their lives. This is not merely a crime; it is a grave violation of human dignity and child protection laws.”
Another social media post on X, “Zarnab Noor, a 13-year-old Christian girl, was working as a maid (for 15k) in Johar Town, Lahore. For breaking dishes, she was brutally beaten, her head was shaved, and she was abused by the house owners until she ran from the house. These pathetic, cruel employers should be put behind bars.”
However, according to the initial investigation by Lahore Police, there is no incident of “forcibly head shaved” in Lahore. The police confirmed that they are investigating the matter carefully.
