17 LHV students hospitalised after gas leak at health school

At least 17 students of the Public Health School (LHV) were sent to the emergency room of Ayub Teaching Hospital after the students fell unconscious due to a gas leakage in the school premises.

According to hospital sources, five students are said to be in a critical condition. Following the incident, several students developed severe symptoms of nausea, vomiting and breathing problems before passing out on site.

The affected students were immediately transported to Ayub Teaching Hospital in the college vehicle and provided medical assistance in time. Currently, one student is receiving treatment in the Medical ICU, two in the CCU and one in the Medical Ward C while the remaining students are being kept under emergency observation by doctors.

The emergency response was held under the supervision of Medical Director Professor Dr. Saqib Malik, Associate Hospital Director Dr. Dawood Iqbal and Deputy Director Sher Ayub. Doctors, nurses, paramedics, and support staff gave timely and excellent service during an operation.

Hospital spokesperson stated that all the possible medical facilities are being provided to the patients and their condition is being constantly monitored.

Roof collapse in Peshawar kills 6, several trapped

Previously, six persons, including woman and children, were killed when the roof of a house collapsed in Khair Abad Matta area of Shabqadar tehsil, Peshawar.

As per rescue services details that in the incidence under the debris several women and children were trapped.

According to officials the rescue teams are actively engaged in removing the rubble to reach those trapped and the deceased include women and children aged between two and 14 years.

The injured had been immediately shifted to hospital for medical treatment and rescue operations remain underway.
