Applications for the 2027 Fulbright scholarship are now open, according to an announcement made by the United States Educational Foundation in Pakistan.
Students interested in applying for the scholarship have to submit their forms online through the USEFP website by April 1, 2026.

The scholarship will pay for tuition, living costs, travel, and health insurance for graduate study in the United States (US).
According to USEFP, the selection is based on overall merit. This also includes academic record, leadership skills, and commitment to development.
Offered courses
The scholarship is open to all fields of study. Priority areas include science, technology, artificial intelligence, trade, economics, and natural resource management.
Clinical medicine is not allowed. Non-clinical public health programs are eligible.
How to apply
Applicants can submit their forms at www.usefp.org. The last date to apply is April 1, 2026.
The Fulbright Program began in 1950 as a joint effort of the United States and Pakistan governments.
Over the years, it has supported more than 9,000 Pakistani students and nearly 1,000 Americans in academic exchange programs.
Heidi Smith, Director of Public Engagement at the US Embassy in Islamabad, said the program supports future leaders and entrepreneurs of Pakistan.
She said many graduates are making a difference in their communities and working on key national issues.
Further, she added that cultural exchange plays an important role in strengthening ties between the two countries. Especially as the United States marks its 250th anniversary of independence.
Since 2005, more than 3,000 Pakistani students have received the Fulbright scholarship.
