CDF Field Marshal Asim Munir presides over the 273rd Corps Commanders’ Conference

Web desk: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CDF), presided over the 273rd Corps Commanders’ Conference (CCC) at General Headquarters (GHQ), Rawalpindi, today.

The conference began with Fateha for the Shuhada of the Armed Forces, law enforcement agencies, and innocent civilians who lost their lives in recent terrorist incidents while defending Pakistan against foreign-sponsored terrorism.

The Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, praised the courage, professionalism, and sacrifices of the Pakistan Armed Forces.

He highlighted their success in intelligence-based counter-terrorism operations across the country.

He said that the combined efforts of the government, military, and people are helping Pakistan move steadily towards stability, greater opportunities, and respect.

The forum reviewed the internal and external security situation. And focused on emerging threats and operational preparedness.

Participants reaffirmed that all terrorists were backed by Indian sponsors. Along with their facilitators, they would be dealt with decisively.

The forum also rejected any attempts to link terrorism with crime or political interests and warned that no effort to undermine national unity, security, or the relationship between the Armed Forces and the people would be tolerated.

Special appreciation was given to Balochistan’s development initiatives aimed at local empowerment and social engagement to address governance-related challenges of terrorism.

Participants emphasised the need to implement similar public-focused initiatives across the country in line with the National Action Plan.

The conference reaffirmed Pakistan’s support for the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination.

Pakistan’s principled stance on the Palestine issue calls for an immediate ceasefire, unhindered humanitarian access to Gaza, and a credible path to Palestinian statehood.

In his concluding remarks, the Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, directed commanders to maintain high standards of operational readiness, discipline, training, physical fitness, and technological innovation.

He expressed full confidence in the Pakistan Army’s ability to counter all types of threats while safeguarding national sovereignty and territorial integrity.
