Balochistan shines: 52 of 136 Officers from Balochistan in 53rd Common training programme

Web desk: The Civil Services Academy is currently running its 53rd Common Training Program. Out of 136 officers undergoing training, 52 are from Balochistan.

This means nearly 40 per cent of the trainees hail from the province, marking a significant representation.

Officials and observers have praised the achievement. They call it a very proud moment for both Balochistan and Pakistan.

Probationary officers visit FBR

Previously, the probationary officers of the 53rd Common Training Programme (CTP), along with faculty members, including DG Civil Services Academy (CSA) Farhan Aziz Khawaja, visited the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Headquarters as part of their pre-service training, APP reported.

The visit was aimed at giving officers a detailed understanding of Pakistan’s revenue administration and ongoing reform initiatives.

The batch, consisting of 136 probationary officers, is currently undergoing mandatory training at the Civil Services Academy in Lahore, a press release said on Friday.

Upon arrival, the officers were welcomed by FBR officials and taken to the auditorium for a briefing on the Transformation Plan. The session was chaired by FBR Chairman Rashid Mahmood Langrial.

During the briefing, officers were briefed on FBR’s mandate, organisational structure, and core functions.

The FBR leadership also explained the revenue collection framework and shared details of initiatives focused on broadening the tax base.

And improving compliance, and harnessing Pakistan’s revenue potential to support sustainable economic growth.
