The Ministry of Religious Affairs has announced that the online booking process for 11,600 pilgrims under the private Hajj scheme for the upcoming Hajj season has been completed, while approximately 60,000 seats remain available.

According to the Ministry, a total quota of 71,696 pilgrims has been allocated for the private Hajj scheme. The booking process will continue until November 20 or until all available seats are filled.

Previously, on August 25, the government completed online bookings for its entire official quota of 107,526 pilgrims through the digital Hajj system.

Under the private Hajj scheme, pilgrims can choose from Economy, Standard, and Premium packages offered by 25 authorised Hajj organisers through the official Hajj portal. These packages include options for shorter stays, direct flights from destinations outside Pakistan, and accommodation in five-star hotels.

Pilgrims advised against payments to unauthorised agents

The Ministry has strictly instructed pilgrims to make all payments only through the official Pak Hajj mobile application or Hajj portal. Pilgrims have also been advised not to deposit money directly with any unauthorised individual or company to protect themselves from fraud and financial losses.

The Ministry has tightened its oversight of the private Hajj scheme following an incident in 2025, when thousands of pilgrims were unable to perform Hajj after private operators failed to meet the payment deadline set by Saudi authorities. 

A spokesperson for the Ministry of Religious Affairs said that bookings for 11,600 private pilgrims had been completed so far through the official Hajj portal, while around 60,000 seats under the private scheme remained available.  The spokesperson added that Economy, Standard, and Premium Hajj packages are available on the Hajj portal for the convenience of pilgrims.
