Rain, strong winds reduce visibility on M2 motorway

Due to strong winds coupled with heavy rain visibility has been severely reduced at the M2 motorway, causing hardships for drivers.

According to motorway police, drivers have been advised to exercise extra caution due to slippery road conditions and low visibility

The drivers have been advised to keep the speed of their vehicles low and use fog lights.

Met office has predicted more rains and strong winds in Islamabad and most areas of Punjab and has cautioned public against making unnecessary travel.

According to the Meteorological Department, rain with thunder is expected today in Lahore, Rawalpindi, Murree, Galyat, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Wazirabad, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Narowal, Sahiwal and Jhang.

Similarly, in Toba Tek Singh, Nankana Sahib, Chiniot, Faisalabad, Okara, Kasur, Khushab, Sargodha, Bhakkar, Mianwali, Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan, Khanewal, Muzaffargarh, Rajanpur and Layyah, scattered strong winds, dust storms and rain with thunder are expected.

Hailstorms are also likely at some places in the province.
