Web desk: Ahead of the upcoming by-elections on November 23, public opinion in NA-18 Haripur shows strong support for the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).
According to people in the area NA-18 Haripur, most plan to vote for PML-N candidate Babur Nawaz Khan. Only a few could be seen expressing support for the PTI candidate.
Based on public opinion, around 66 per cent of people expressed support for Babur Nawaz Khan and the PML-N. Only about 33 per cent said they would vote for PTI.
When asked the reason, residents praised Babur Nawaz Khan for his work in the region. They said he has completed gas and electricity projects in more than 600 villages.
Many said he is approachable and regularly meets people in his constituency. Supporters also called him sincere, humble, and committed to helping the poor.
People compared him with candidates from other parties. They said that other leaders had not done enough work in the area.
Many mentioned that Babur Nawaz Khan had improved local services and focused on development.
Some residents even criticised the current government. They highlighted issues such as rising electricity bills and inflation. They said these problems have affected ordinary people.
Supporters also expressed confidence that Babur Nawaz Khan will win the election. They said he has earned the trust of local voters and can bring positive change to the region.
In the upcoming by-election, Haripur voters will decide between Babur Nawaz Khan of PML-N and other party candidates, including PTI.
By-Elections in KP, NA-18 Haripur
By-elections are being conducted in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including NA-18 Haripur, where Omer Ayub Khan was previously disqualified.
The ECP reiterated its commitment to ensuring that elections are conducted in a free, fair, and peaceful manner across all regions.
Citizens have been urged to participate responsibly and uphold the democratic process during the by-elections.
