Govt reshuffles senior bureaucracy, transfers multiple top officials

The Punjab government has carried out a major administrative reshuffle, transferring and appointing several senior bureaucrats, director generals, and deputy commissioners across the province.

The Services and General Administration Department (S&GAD) issued an official notification detailing the latest appointments and transfers.

According to the notification, Syed Musa Raza, Director General of the Punjab Food Authority, has been transferred and appointed as Director General of the Environment Protection Agency. Mansoor Ahmed, previously serving as Director General of the Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA), has been appointed as the new Director General of the Punjab Food Authority.

Omar Javed, Director General of the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), has been posted as Director General of the Suthra Punjab Programme, while Omar Abbas Mela, Deputy Commissioner of Toba Tek Singh, has been appointed as the new DG PDMA.

The government has also transferred several deputy commissioners as part of the administrative overhaul.

Saba Asghar Ali, Deputy Commissioner of Sialkot, has been appointed as Chief of Section at the Planning and Development Board, while Owais Mushtaq, Additional DG Housing at the Lahore Development Authority (LDA), has been named the new Deputy Commissioner of Sialkot.

Maham Asif Malik, Additional Secretary of the Home Department, has been appointed Deputy Commissioner of Toba Tek Singh.

Ahmed Usman Javed, Deputy Commissioner of Okara, has been posted as Additional Secretary, Punjab Home Department, while Muhammad Akram Malik, Additional Secretary of the Irrigation Department, has been appointed as the new Deputy Commissioner of Okara.

Ali Akbar, Deputy Commissioner of Jhang, has been transferred as Additional Secretary, Irrigation Department, while Babaruddin, Director General of the Suthra Punjab Programme, has been appointed Deputy Commissioner of Jhang.

Hina Arshad, Additional Secretary of the Health and Population Department, has been appointed Deputy Commissioner of Khanewal.

Muhammad Tasleem Akhtar, Deputy Commissioner of Nankana Sahib, has been transferred as Additional Secretary, Health and Population Department, while Rana Hameed, Secretary of the Board of Revenue, has been appointed the new Deputy Commissioner of Nankana Sahib.

In addition, Syed Muhammad Abbas Shah, Additional Secretary of the Punjab Finance Department, has been appointed Deputy Commissioner of Bahawalnagar.
