ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif has reached London on a private visit after wrapping up his trip to Bahrain on Thursday evening.
He will be staying in London for four days before returning home.
Pakistani High Commissioner Dr Faisal and other PML-N leaders received the PM at Luton airport.
According to sources PM will undergo a medical check-up.
During the visit in Bahrain, Pakistan and Bahrain discussed plans to boost economic, security and strategic cooperation
Defence and security ties also came under discussion, with both leaders agreeing to deepen cooperation in training, cybersecurity, defence production and information sharing. Regional developments, including the situation in Gaza, were reviewed, and both sides stressed the need for long-overdue peace and stability.
The meeting ended with optimism that the talks would further strengthen Pakistan–Bahrain relations in economic, strategic, security and people-to-people fields.
