The Pakistan armed forces have conducted a successful intelligence-based operation, eliminating eight of the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) militants in the area of Washuk in Balochistan under the ongoing Operation Radd-ul-Fitna 3.
According to the security forces, the operation was carried out in the Washuk district under Operation Radd-ul-Fitna 3, targeting what it described as a militant hideout.
The officials said that the forces came under fire during the raid, leading to an exchange of gunfire in which eight BLA militants, including a senior commander, were sent to hell.
They added that the hideout was destroyed completely during the operation and that weapons and ammunition were recovered from the site.
The operation was part of ongoing efforts to counter militant violence in Balochistan, where security forces have faced attacks from separatist groups in recent years.
Balochistan, Pakistan’s largest province by area, has witnessed a long-running insurgency, with separatist groups demanding greater autonomy or independence.
The Pakistani government has designated the BLA as a terrorist organisation and has carried out repeated security operations against the group.

Earlier, the security forces also killed eight to 10 militants during Operation Radd-ul-Fitna 3 in the Kambela and Asimabad areas on the outskirts of Quetta.
The security forces carried out a search and sanitisation operation, clearing 68 square kilometres of the area during the operation.
Officials said two militant bodies were recovered, while three to four militants, including commander Shaukat Mama, were injured.
Security personnel also detained 12 suspects during the operation.
According to the statement, the forces destroyed suspected militant hideouts and removed flags associated with Fitna al-Hindustan during the operation.
Security officials said Operation Radd-ul-Fitnah 3 will continue with full force until militancy is completely eradicated.
