The International Cricket Council (ICC) has revealed the shortlist of nominees for the Player of the Month for July, where West Indies all-rounder Justin Greaves, England’s Harry Brook and Bangladesh opener Tanzid Hasan have been shortlisted.
Justin Greaves’ nomination came due to his performing very well in July during the test series against Pakistan.
The West Indies all-rounder gave extremely valuable performances against Sri Lanka and Pakistan.
He was outstanding in the first Test against Sri Lanka, hitting a splendid 180 in a marvellous innings.
He was a significant reason for West Indies’ success and had an excellent form in the month of July.
England white-ball captain Harry Brook also put in a strong appeal for the award with his explosive performance against India.
As a whole, Brook has played in five T20 games, scoring 229 runs with a high average.
His remarkable strike rate of 214.01 further underlined his aggressive approach. His performances won him the Player of the Series award, and England’s crucial wins.
Bangladesh opener Tanzid Hasan, meanwhile, had a fantastic form in both formats of the game against Zimbabwe.
He amassed 159 runs in three-match ODI series and 140 more runs in the T20 series. His handiness and attacking approach were excellent for Bangladesh and resulted in a solid start.
The three nominees have performed very well in various formats and the July award is a close contest.
The competition becomes exciting due to Greaves’ exploits in the test, Brook’s explosive T20 batting and Tanzid’s consistency across formats.
As it’s been done in the past, the ICC will vote and the final winner will be named. Cricket fans around the globe are waiting to see who will be the Player of the Month for July 2026.
