All nine educational boards in Punjab have approved the introduction of a Digital Result Card System aimed at shifting examination records and student services to an online platform.
Under the new system, students will no longer need to rely on printed result cards once the initiative is fully implemented. Instead, they will be able to download and print their official result cards from home.
The system will be introduced in phases. During the first phase, students of Class 9 and First Year will receive digital result cards for their annual examination results. The facility will subsequently be extended to Class 10 and Second Year students in the second phase.
How students can access result cards
Both regular and private candidates will be able to access their digital result cards online soon after the announcement of examination results.
Regular students will obtain their result cards through the online portals of their respective institutions, while private candidates will be able to download them directly from the relevant educational board’s website.
QR codes and security features
Each digital result card will contain a QR code and additional security features to allow colleges, universities, employers and other organisations to verify its authenticity electronically.
The digital document will have the same official status as a traditional printed result card.
Accepted for official purposes
Punjab’s educational boards have confirmed that digital result cards will be recognised as official government documents. Students will be able to use them for college and university admissions, employment, scholarships, equivalence certificates, document verification and other official requirements.
The new system is expected to make the process more convenient for students by providing instant access to result cards and eliminating the need to visit board offices or wait for printed documents.
