The third edition of the World Championship of Legends (WCL) will be back in October, with the event taking place from October 3 to 18.
The tournament will grow to seven teams from the previous six teams in the season ahead, with the addition of the Bangladesh Champions.
South Africa Champions will face the tournament as the defending champions, as they beat Pakistan Champions in the final of the 2025 tournament to win their first WCL title.
After defeating Pakistan Champions in the final of the 2025 edition, South Africa Champions will take on the new season as the defending champions.
India Champions won the first tournament in 2024 in the final against Pakistan Champions.

Some of the big names confirmed or announced for the competition include AB de Villiers of South Africa, Pakistan’s Shahid Afridi, Australia’s David Warner, India’s Yuvraj Singh, West Indies’ Dwayne Bravo and England’s Moeen Ali.
Another legend is also expected to join the big field of legends: Mohammad Mahmudullah.
The tournament will also be held outside of the UK for the first time, but the host venue has yet to be confirmed.
More information will be available about venues and fixtures in the near future, organisers have said.
The Pakistan-India contest is likely to be among the highlights of the event, as both the Pakistan Champions and India Champions are set to compete in the tournament.
It’s still not officially confirmed, though, when and where they will play.
Season 3 will see some of cricket’s most popular rivalries and more legendary players are now coming together after the success of the first two editions, said the WCL.
The league’s organisers announced that the second season of the league garnered 425 million global viewers, and are looking forward for another big show in 2026.
