Hina Javed reports after her post-mortem revealed several injuries on her body. The case has caused widespread concern across Pakistan.
According to the post-mortem report, Hina Javed had a fractured neck bone. Injury marks were also found on her ribs and hip. The report further found blood around the membrane surrounding her heart.
According to the FIR, her hands were tied behind her back. Her mouth had allegedly been covered with cloth, while a wire was found around her neck.
Police have arrested Hina’s husband, Faisal Asghar, and worker Zeeshan in connection with the case. A Rawalpindi court has granted police a three-day physical remand of both suspects as the investigation continues.
Investigation into the case
The case gained further attention after an old video reportedly showing Faisal during a lecture began circulating online.
In the video, he appears to use an example involving a husband killing his wife while discussing how people judge situations without knowing the full circumstances. The video has attracted strong reactions online following Hina’s death.
Hina reportedly married Faisal in November 2025. Her family has alleged that she had faced domestic abuse before her death. Police are investigating the case as a murder and gathering forensic and other evidence.
On the other hand, the case also gained attention from public figures like First Lady Aseefa Bhutto Zardari asked for a quick investigation into the death of Hina Javed in Rawalpindi. She offered condolences to Hina’s family and stated that whoever is responsible must be punished.
Aseefa further spoke out against the killing and asked the Punjab government to carry out a proper investigation. She said people involved in the killing should not escape and justice should be prevailed.
She also called for better steps to protect women in the country and stressed upon the rising cases of violence against women.
