Spider-Man: Brand New Day is moving closer to Titanic on the list of the world’s highest-grossing movies after another successful weekend in cinemas.
The film earned $39 million at the domestic box office during its fourth weekend. It also collected $109 million worldwide, according to box office tracker Rentrak.
The strong performance helped the movie remain at top on both the domestic and worldwide box office charts.
Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, the latest Spider-Man movie stars Tom Holland and Zendaya.
The film has now earned an $854.9 million domestically. Its worldwide box office collection has reached approximately $2.22 billion.
Spider-Man moves closer to Titanic
The latest figures show Spider-Man: Brand New Day around $44 million behind Titanic.
Titanic currently holds fifth place among the world’s highest grossing movies with approximately $2.264 billion in global earnings.
Titanic, directed by James Cameron, reached this total through its original theatrical run and later re-releases, including its 3D release.
Cameron also has two other movies near the top of the worldwide rankings. Avatar has earned around $2.923 billion, while Avatar: The Way of Water has collected approximately $2.334 billion.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day could overtake Titanic in the coming week if the strong response continues.
The movie could also challenge Ne Zha 2, which completed its 2025 theatrical run with around $2.27 billion worldwide.

Meanwhile, Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey continued its strong run at the global box office.
The film remained in second place worldwide and collected another $87.5 million during its sixth weekend in cinemas. Its worldwide total has now reached approximately $1.44 billion.
The figure makes The Odyssey the highest grossing film of Christopher Nolan’s career, according to the report.
