ISLAMABAD: State Minister for Interior Talal Chaudhry warning Chief Minister  Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sohail Afridi of leagla ction has saud that if government machinery or police are used legal action will be taken

Talking to repprters in Islamabad on Tuesday, the interior minister that along with Section 144, the Peshawar High Court has ordered that government resources cannot be used for political activities, he said.

“We hope the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister will not use state resources. If government machinery or police are used, action will be taken and criminal cases will be registered”, the state minister said.

Talal Chaudhry said that Pakistan will soon win the war against terrorism. He added that Pakistan had also defeated terrorism in 2013, and the country will overcome the current challenges as well.

He said Pakistan is facing serious threats of terrorism, which is why Section 144 has been imposed in Rawalpindi and Islamabad due to the security situation. Talal Chaudhry said terrorist incidents are rising in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and militants plan attacks during public gatherings.

He said the Islamabad district courts blast has links to Afghanistan, while terrorists use VPNs to hide their location. The minister said the court has clearly ordered that government resources cannot be used for political purposes, and action will be taken if any state machinery is misused.

Talal Chaudhry said Section 144 has been imposed to protect the lives and property of citizens, and strict action will be taken against those who violate it. He added that the government is fully committed to eliminating terrorism across the country.

He also said the lives of thousands of other inmates in Adiala Jail may be at risk, which is why no leniency can be shown in security measures.
