New immigration counters are now operational at Allama Iqbal International Airport (AIIAP) in Lahore to improve facilities and streamline passenger processing.
According to the private media outlet, the new immigration area has been fully activated as part of efforts to enhance passenger convenience at the airport. The Pakistan Airports Authority has described the development as another milestone in improving airport services.
Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi inaugurated the new immigration area along with the airport manager and deputy airport manager. He also inspected the newly operational facility and reviewed arrangements made for passengers.
Naqvi praised the Pakistan Airports Authority and the Lahore airport team for their efforts and the quality of work.
The Lahore airport administration said the new facility would significantly improve passenger processing and overall convenience at AIIAP.

Earlier, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) made a major decision for passengers planning to travel from Pakistan to London.
The airline has decided to operate daily flights to London, with five flights departing from Islamabad and two from Lahore every week.
PIA will operate these seven weekly flights following the return of its London slots from Turkish Airlines.
After a six-year gap, PIA resumed flights to London on March 30, allowing passengers to travel directly between Pakistan and the UK once again.
