Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has announced temporary teaching jobs for the Autumn 2026 semester.
Visiting faculty jobs at AIOU 2026
The university is looking for people for Visiting Faculty and Lab Demonstrator positions in its Department of Computer Science. These jobs will be part-time and will be paid on an honorarium basis.
The positions are temporary. They will not result in permanent or regular employment at AIOU.
What are the eligibility criteria for AIOU jobs?
Applicants must have a BS, MS or PhD degree in the relevant field. Candidates with teaching experience and good academic records will be preferred.
AIOU has also said that an assignment can be cancelled if a selected person gives wrong information or does not complete their assigned duties properly.

Fully funded AIOU PhD scholarships for Autumn 2026
AIOU has announced fully funded PhD scholarships for students applying for Autumn 2026 admissions.
The scholarships will be awarded on merit. Selected students will receive a monthly stipend of Rs80,000. Their tuition fees will also be fully covered.
Applicants must meet the Higher Education Commission (HEC) requirements for PhD admissions. They must also fulfil AIOU’s scholarship criteria.
Students who receive the scholarship will also get research support. They can use the university’s libraries, laboratories and other research facilities. They will also have access to online academic resources.
What subjects are being offered?
The fully funded scholarships are available in several subjects. These include Islamic Studies, Distance and Non-Formal Education, Science Education, Mass Communication, Pakistani Languages and Literature, Agricultural Extension, Chemistry, Computer Science, Environmental Sciences, Food and Nutrition, Mathematics and Physics.
AIOU is also offering PhD programs in various fields of Islamic Studies and Pakistani Languages.
