Karachi authorities have closed Numaish Chowrangi to traffic from all directions due to security concerns, the Karachi Traffic Police spokesperson said.
Traffic heading towards Numaish Chowrangi is being diverted to other routes. Vehicles approaching from Capri are being sent towards Nasra School.
Traffic coming from Guru Mandir is being diverted towards Banoria Town and Soldier Bazaar, while vehicles travelling from Shahrah-e-Quaideen are being redirected from Society Office towards Allah Wali Chowrangi.
Vehicles coming from Britto Road and Soldier Bazaar No. 3 are also being diverted towards Soldier Bazaar No. 1.
Police have deployed additional personnel around Mazar-e-Quaid as part of the security arrangements.
The District East administration has also prohibited all public gatherings, rallies and processions around Mazar-e-Quaid.
Officials warned that authorities would take legal action against anyone who holds a gathering without permission.
Under the law protecting the sanctity of Mazar-e-Quaid, rallies, demonstrations and processions are prohibited within the mausoleum premises.
The administration said political activities are also prohibited within 10 feet of the outer boundary wall of the Mazar-e-Quaid premises.
Deputy Commissioner East warned that violating the Mazar-e-Quaid law could lead to up to three years in prison, a fine, or both.
The administration urged citizens to avoid unnecessary gatherings around Mazar-e-Quaid and follow the security restrictions.
