Sabir Shah Hoti September 8, 2026 Pakistan

The intensity of heat in Karachi is expected to increase from September 13, with the maximum temperature likely to exceed 36 degrees Celsius.

According to Anjum Nazir Zaigham, spokesperson and deputy director of the Meteorological Department, a westerly weather system is expected to enter Sindh between September 12 and 13. Under its influence, rain may occur in Tharparkar and adjoining areas.

The weather system could also change the direction of winds in Karachi, partially or completely affecting the city’s prevailing southwesterly sea breeze. The change in wind direction may result in a rise in temperatures.

According to the Meteorological Department spokesperson, there is currently no chance of rain in Karachi under the influence of the westerly system.
