The Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA) is set to auction commercial plots in Islamabad on September 15 and 16, with officials expecting strong participation from investors, businessmen and developers from across the country.
A meeting of the Auction Management Committee was held to review preparations for the upcoming auction. The committee assessed progress on decisions taken during its previous meeting and reviewed final arrangements to ensure a transparent, organised and successful auction. The auction will begin at 10:00 a.m. on both days and will be held at Grand Marquis Anglico, Margalla Road, E-11, Islamabad.
Commercial plots in important and rapidly developing areas, particularly Sector G-13 and Sector G-14, will be offered to investors. According to FGEHA, the locations present significant opportunities for businesses seeking to establish or expand their operations, as well as for investors looking for long-term commercial property investments.
Prime commercial plots in sector G-14, G-13 up for auction
The auction package includes commercial plots at key locations in Sector G-14, including 14 Markaz, G-14/2, 14/3 and 14/4 commercial shopping centres. Various categories of commercial plots will also be offered in Sector G-13, including Class-11 and modern corporate and office plots.
To attract investors, FGEHA has announced flexible payment options. Buyers will be required to make an initial payment of 25 per cent, while the remaining amount can be paid in easy instalments over two years. Investors opting for lump-sum payment will receive a 10 per cent discount.
The commercial sites also offer connectivity to major transport routes, including access to the Metro and major highways. Motorway M-1 is easily accessible, while M-2 is approximately 8 kilometres away and Islamabad International Airport is around 12 kilometres from the sites.
FGEHA offers maximum facilities to attract commercial investors
FGEHA officials said the Authority is providing maximum facilities to prospective investors and creating favourable conditions for commercial investment in the capital.
The Authority has invited investors, businessmen, developers and individuals interested in commercial real estate from Islamabad, Rawalpindi and other cities across Pakistan to participate in the auction.
With growing interest from the business and investment community, FGEHA expects strong participation in the two-day auction and believes the sale will create new opportunities for commercial development in Islamabad’s emerging sectors.
