KARACHI: Women working from home can now expand their businesses through easy steps and laons from the bank according to the State Bank
A large number of women in Pakistan are running small businesses from their homes. These include stitching clothes, cooking, handicrafts, and selling products online.
State Bank Deputy Governor Saleem Ullah appearing in a TV channel programme said that many new opportunities are now available at national and international levels for such women to expand their work.
He noted that women across the country are running home-based ventures, from sewing to food services and online sales, and they can now access platforms that help them grow.
He said women can now get training and also apply for financial support, either through grants or loans. For this, they need to download the S-App.
He added that banks will provide a form. After filling it out and attaching the required documents, women can submit it for processing.
According to him, loans of up to Rs500,000 will be given on personal guarantee, with zero markup.
Such programmes also offer guidance in business planning, marketing, and modern business methods. The aim is to help women build sustainable and long-term businesses.
