Citizens looking to get cheaper petrol under the government’s fuel relief scheme have received good news as authorities move to make the registration process easier and more accessible.
A meeting on the administrative arrangements for the Prime Minister’s Fuel Relief Scheme was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar.
During the meeting, Ishaq Dar directed the relevant authorities to simplify the registration process and ensure that it remains easily accessible to the public so that maximum eligible citizens can benefit from the scheme.
He also directed officials to ensure the effective implementation of the relief scheme at petrol stations and increase public awareness about the programme.
Ishaq Dar asked elected representatives to provide citizens with information about the Prime Minister’s Fuel Relief Scheme and help them complete the registration process.
He also directed authorities to involve volunteers from the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme in public awareness campaigns and registration activities.
Officials briefed the meeting that the Prime Minister’s Fuel Relief Scheme is already operational in Islamabad and will be launched across the country at 11:59pm on September 16.
The meeting was informed that the government is continuing to implement the relief scheme in line with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s directions.
The meeting was attended by the federal ministers for Information and Broadcasting, IT and Parliamentary Affairs, the Minister of State for Finance, the Prime Minister’s Special Assistant, the IT secretary and members of the National Assembly from Islamabad.
