The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has issued an important message for Pakistani citizens, particularly those living abroad.
In a statement, NADRA urged all Pakistani citizens, especially overseas Pakistanis, to remain vigilant against unauthorised web portals and websites that misuse NADRA’s name or falsely claim to provide NADRA-related services.
NADRA advised citizens not to enter or share their personal information, passport details, fingerprints or payment-related information on such unauthorised websites or web portals under any circumstances.
The authority further stated that citizens who have already provided any personal information on these websites should immediately inform their local cybercrime units and consumer protection authorities, or file a complaint with NADRA.
NADRA stressed the importance of verifying the authenticity of websites offering its services before providing any personal or sensitive information online.

Earlier, the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) issued an important advisory for parents applying for identity documents for children under the age of 18.
The instructions apply to applications for the Child Registration Certificate (CRC), known as B-Form, Juvenile Card and NICOP.
According to the advisory, parents should first make sure that their marital status is correctly recorded in NADRA’s database. Parents who are married should ensure that their status is not incorrectly shown as ‘unmarried.’
