Pi Network has introduced new technical updates for KYC and Mainnet migration. The changes aim to fix issues that blocked some users. The Pi Core Team said the updates address several KYC and migration problems. These include duplicate account cases and Fast-track wallet issues. The latest changes could allow more users to move forward with the network process. The updates also add new verification options for selected users.
417,000 duplicate account cases cleared
One major update targets users flagged for possible duplicate accounts. Pi said more than 417,000 users can now continue with KYC. The users were reviewed through an updated process. The review found that these accounts were not duplicates.
However, these users must still meet other KYC requirements. The latest change does not remove the remaining verification checks.
Mainnet migration issue also gets an update
Pi Network is also working on Fast-track wallet migration problems. Some users received their Mainnet wallets through the Fast-track process. Their wallets later became migration destinations. However, some users could not claim their migrated balances. They did not have enough Pi to cover the required gas fee. Pi said an update will target about 497,000 users affected by this issue. The company also plans to prevent similar problems in future migrations.
New KYC verification improvements
The network has also made several changes to its KYC process. Some technical changes aim to reduce errors during automated video processing. These improvements may help users facing application delays. Pi has also expanded liveness-check eligibility for some older devices. This could help users whose phones previously had technical limitations. Some affected Yoti users can now resubmit their KYC applications. The option addresses cases where required liveness data was missing. Pi is also testing palm-print capture for selected users. The trial will run for one month.
The feature provides another authentication method for certain users. Pi says the feature can support human verification without requiring a face image.
What comes next for Pi Network?
The latest upgrades put more focus on KYC and Mainnet migration. The immediate goal is to help eligible users complete these processes. Pi’s roadmap also lists improvements for the Mainnet migration journey. These include better prompts and changes to the Mainnet Checklist. Meanwhile, PI has recently faced price pressure. FXStreet reported that PI held above $0.0800 on September 18. The token had fallen for three straight days before the move higher.
FXStreet also reported that PI was trading near $0.0830. Its analysis showed continued weakness in several technical indicators. The latest technical upgrades do not guarantee a change in PI’s market performance. They mainly address access, verification, and migration issues.
For users, the next key developments will likely involve KYC progress and Mainnet migration. Further technical updates could also affect how users access Pi’s ecosystem.
