ParkView City Islamabad has signed an agreement with McDonald’s to open a new restaurant at Downtown Islamabad.
The agreement was signed by Abdur Rehman Khan, Vice Chairman of Vision Group, and Omer Farooq Toor, Director Real Estate at McDonald’s. The signing marks the addition of another internationally recognised brand to the commercial area.
ParkView City said the partnership is part of its efforts to bring well-known brands closer to residents and visitors. The upcoming restaurant will offer regular McDonald’s experience in the developing Downtown Islamabad area.
New McDonald’s planned for Downtown Islamabad
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Abdur Rehman Khan described Downtown Islamabad as a unique commercial destination in Pakistan.
He said the area has been designed as a fully planned commercial hub. He also highlighted its dancing fountains, which ParkView City describes as a major attraction for residents of Islamabad and visitors from other parts of Pakistan.
Omer Farooq Toor also spoke about the planned restaurant. He said the dancing fountains make Downtown Islamabad a suitable location for the new outlet.
According to Toor, the company plans to make this particular McDonald’s different from its other restaurants in Pakistan.
Downtown Islamabad is being developed as a commercial and lifestyle destination. It combines shopping, restaurants, leisure activities and entertainment in one location. ParkView City says the addition of McDonald’s will expand the range of recognised brands available in the area.
The signing ceremony was also attended by senior ParkView City officials. These included Omer Farooq Manan, CEO of ParkView City Islamabad; Brigadier (Retired) Nazir Hussain Khan, COO; Naeem Abbas Waraich, Country Head of ParkView City; and Nazia Hamid, Director Global Partnerships and Investment at Vision Group.
The agreement confirms plans for the restaurant, but an opening date has not yet been announced. Further details about the restaurant’s development and official opening will be shared later.
