The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has ordered the sealing of the marketing and site offices of Nilore Homes on Lehtrar Road in Islamabad.
The CDA officials said that the housing scheme was developed without the required approvals.
The scheme is located near the Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences (PIEAS).
According to a CDA document, development work began without an approved layout plan or a No Objection Certificate (NOC).
The authority has declared the development and use of the land unauthorised under the CDA Ordinance 1960, the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Zoning Regulations 1992 and regulations governing private housing schemes in Islamabad.
The CDA said it had previously issued notices and show-cause notices to the scheme’s sponsors, ordering them to stop development work as well as the marketing, sale, purchase, allotment and transfer of plots.
The sponsors were also directed to remove structures built without approval and stop using the land for unauthorised purposes.
According to the authority, the required approvals were not obtained despite those directives and public notices published in national newspapers and posted on the CDA’s website.
The Directorate of Regional Planning has asked the CDA’s Enforcement Directorate to seal the marketing and site offices of the housing scheme in accordance with the relevant regulations.
The authority has also sought action against buildings and other structures that it says were constructed without approved building plans, including their demolition where required.
The CDA has directed the relevant authorities to ensure that electricity and gas connections are provided only in accordance with approved layout and building plans.
It has also proposed action against the advertising and online promotion of housing schemes that have not secured the necessary approvals.
The CDA’s action is part of its regulatory oversight of private housing schemes in Islamabad.
