Security measures have been further tightened in Faizabad and surrounding areas by the administration in view of the possible Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) march towards Islamabad on September 27.
According to sources, instructions have been issued to keep all hotels located around the Faizabad bus terminal closed. In addition, restaurants and shopkeepers have also been instructed to close their shops by this evening.
Police sources say that instructions have also been issued to keep guest houses and transport terminals in the Faizabad area closed until tonight. These measures are being taken by the administration as part of security arrangements in view of the possible political activity and march.
It is worth mentioning that PTI has announced a march towards Islamabad on September 27, and the party has also expressed its determination to continue with the march.
Meanwhile, the federal government has also approved the deployment of Rangers in Islamabad and various districts of Punjab. According to the Ministry of Interior, the Rangers have been deployed from September 20 to October 5.
Meanwhile, security arrangements are also being made at the entry and exit points of Islamabad and Rawalpindi. Reports have emerged that barriers are being set up on various key highways and routes, while authorities are taking measures to maintain law and order.
Citizens in Rawalpindi, Islamabad, and surrounding areas may also face travel difficulties due to the PTI march and government security measures.
