In a somewhat unexpected move, it looks like Indus Motor Company plans to continue selling the existing 11th-generation Toyota Corolla in Pakistan for a few more years.

Pictures of the upcoming facelift Corolla have been going viral on the internet and social media platforms. The car could be sold in Pakistan as the “new model Corolla” or the 2027 facelift Toyota Corolla.

Looking at the leaked images, the Toyota Corolla facelift appears to be largely the same, despite the company changing the front and rear bumpers and the rim design. Apart from these changes, it has the same chassis and frame, while the interior also appears to be almost unchanged.

The internet has already gone crazy after seeing the leaked images of the facelift Corolla in Pakistan.

It is worth noting that the existing Toyota Corolla has been on sale in Pakistan since 2014. Over the years, the company has introduced only minor changes to the car, and it looks like the same approach will continue in 2027.

So, in short, the new-generation Corolla is not coming. Instead, the existing model is getting a small makeover.

The internet and Toyota fans do not appear very happy with the development. The Corolla currently sold in Pakistan has been discontinued globally, while a newer generation is already being sold in international markets.

However, automakers in Pakistan, particularly the Big Three of Suzuki, Toyota and Honda, have long been known for continuing to sell older models in the local market. It looks like that trend is set to continue with the Corolla as well.

So why isn’t the new-generation Corolla being launched in Pakistan?

According to some experts, the 12th-generation Corolla does not look as bulky as the current model. Some believe it also appears less spacious and smaller than the Corolla currently sold in Pakistan. This could be one of the reasons why the company has decided to continue selling the older model with a facelift.

Netizens who have seen pictures of the facelift Corolla Altis have mixed views. Many have criticised the design, with some saying the new bumper looks odd. Others have gone further, calling the facelift Corolla ugly.

Still, it is worth noting that the Toyota Corolla remains one of the best-selling sedans in Pakistan. People love it for its reliability and its ability to handle long journeys, regardless of the road conditions or distance.

The Corolla is also known for its strong and durable performance, as well as its comfortable ride on bumpy roads. No matter which part of the country you visit, you are likely to see Corollas on the roads across Pakistan.

Toyota Corolla facelift 2027 price

The price of the 2027 Corolla facelift is not expected to increase significantly in Pakistan. Some experts believe it could launch at almost the same price as the current model.

Others estimate that the top-of-the-line Toyota Altis Grande 2027 facelift could cost around Rs8.1 million, while the Corolla Altis 1.6 facelift could be priced at around Rs7.6 million.
