Pakistan batting coach Michael Smith says he is preparing the team’s batters to handle different playing conditions while developing backup options for every batting position to strengthen the lineup.

Speaking to PCB Digital, the South African-born coach said the upcoming tri-series, starting on Sunday, would be his third series with the national team.

Smith, a Level 4 coach and former first-class cricketer, said Pakistan’s goal was to adopt a winning mindset in the tri-series and all future competitions. He explained that the coaching staff was working to build depth in the batting order by preparing alternative players for each position, allowing the team to adapt its strategy according to match situations and conditions.
