LAHORE: Film star Saud Qasmi, husband of Javeria Saud, has finally addressed his rumoured affair with co-actress Meera during his stardom days.
Recently Sangeeta, a former actress and film maker, appearing in a TV show had commented that Meera and Saud had a ‘relationship’ in their younger days and on one occasion she literally had to rescue Saud from the “clutches” of Meera during a shooting of the movie.
The interview went viral due to which Saud’s wife Javeria came to the rescue of her husband and called Sangeeta an attention seeker for making such a statement.
The rumoured affair questioned once again rose when the couple attended the Lux Style Awards 2025 held in Karachi. Javeria said that its been 20 years since they have been married and they have grown up children. She said she does not know what Sangeeta wanted to achieve by digging up old graves.
Meanwhile Saud denied that he ever had an affair with Meera and said that there was no truth to such rumours.
Javeria and Saud have been together for twenty years and are parents to two children. He was dominating the film industry when they got married, while Javeria was active on television. The two have always backed each other’s careers, and their marriage has remained strong and successful and are regarded as one of the strongest couple.
