Web desk: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has reportedly requested its parliamentarians to contribute to the party’s finances amid a financial crunch, on Friday.
According to a letter sent by the PTI’s Additional Secretary General to members of the National Assembly, Senate, and provincial assemblies, each lawmaker has been asked to donate 10 per cent of their monthly salary to the party fund.
The letter states that each MNA, MPA, and Senator is expected to contribute PKR 50,000 per month.
The request has been made in a letter to members of the National Assembly, Senate, and provincial assemblies.
PTI’s Additional Secretary General stated that each parliamentarian is required to contribute 10 per cent of their monthly salary to the party fund.
Additionally, it has been requested that the payments be made on an urgent basis.
This is due to the party’s inability to meet its financial obligations.
Lawmakers have been urged to treat the matter as a priority and submit their contributions within 72 hours.

PTI leaders face severe backlash
Previously, PTI faced severe criticism after Imran Khan’s sisters appeared on Indian news channels, whom they had earlier called a fake news machine.
To every Pakistani’s surprise, Noreen Niazi and Aleema Khan, two sisters of Imran Khan, gave interviews to Indian news channels, who had earlier launched a fake news war against Pakistan and its armed forces.
Noreen Niazi told the Indian news outlet that this is “the darkest era in Pakistan’s history,” saying, “One word from Imran, his workers will break jail gates and rescue him.”
The PTI founder’s sisters, while sitting on Indian news channels, criticised the armed forces of Pakistan at a time when the Modi regime is planning to carry out strikes against Pakistan as part of the so-called Operation Sindoor 2.
Their appearance on the Indian media outlets has caused public outrage across Pakistan. The move is facing severe backlash, even from the PTI’s own workers.
One user scolded the party, saying that “When PTI leaders and even Imran Khan’s sisters appear on Indian channels and speak against Pakistan, it shows exactly why this party has become a major security risk. No patriotic person can ignore this anymore.”
