Ahmed al Ahmed hailed as hero in Australia after disarming Bondi Beach terrorist

Ahmed al Ahmed has been hailed as a hero for tackling and disarming a gunman during the Bondi Beach attack.

The 43-year-old man grabbed a rifle from the attacker.

While disarming the terrorist, Ahmed al Ahmed was shot twice and is undergoing surgery for his injuries tonight.

He is from Sydney’s Sutherland Shire and owns a local fruit business.

The terrorist behind the Sydney attack is Naveed Akram, an Afghan national.

He was a student at Sydney’s Al-Murad Islamic Institute.

12 people have died, including one gunman, following the shooting incident at Bondi Beach.

A child is believed to be among 29 people who are in serious condition.

The second shooter is in critical condition.
