Web desk: The University of Peshawar has officially announced its winter holidays, providing relief to students and staff during the cold season.
However, the administration has clarified that academic assessments and examinations will continue according to the scheduled timetable.
According to the official notification, the winter break at the university will begin on December 22 and will apply to all teaching and administrative departments.
University officials stated that the decision was made in line with the seasonal academic calendar.
The notification also mentioned that the University of Peshawar will remain closed during the winter holidays. The regular activities and academic sessions are expected to resume on January 3.
Students and staff have been advised to plan their activities in accordance with the holiday schedule.
The university administration emphasised that there will be no changes to the schedule of examinations and tests.
All previously announced exams and assessments will be held as per the existing timetable.
Balochistan winter holidays
According to the announcement, educational institutions in colder regions will remain closed from December 16, 2025, to February 28, 2026.
However, it is different for the warmer regions of the province. The schools in warmer areas will observe winter break from 22 December 2025 to 4 January 2026.
The department urged students, teachers, and staff to plan accordingly and make the most of the scheduled holidays.
Sindh announces winter holidays
The Sindh Education Department has announced the winter holiday schedule for schools across the province previously too.
All public and private educational institutions will remain closed from 22 to 31 December 2025. The classes are expected to resume on January 1, 2026.
