Xiaomi launches Redmi Note 15 Pro globally

Redmi Note 15 Pro launch globally

Xiaomi has officially unveiled the Redmi Note 15 series on the global stage, bringing several tweaks to the hardware that set it apart from the earlier Chinese launch.

Fans in Pakistan, who have been eagerly following updates, can expect the series to hit local shelves within the first two months of 2026. Early reports suggest the Redmi Note 15 Pro could start at around Rs80,000 in Pakistani smartphone market.

A wide lineup to choose from

The new series is expansive, offering five models: the standard Redmi Note 15 (available in 4G and 5G), the Redmi Note 15 Pro, the Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G, and the top-tier Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G.

All devices run on Android 15 with Xiaomi’s HyperOS 2.2, with a roadmap already announced for a swift upgrade to Android 16-based HyperOS 3. For a mid-range series, this long-term software support is rare and noteworthy.

Camera upgrades

The Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G model sees the most significant changes for the global market. While the Chinese version featured a 50MP main sensor, the international model boasts a 200MP HPE camera with 2x and 4x in-sensor zoom, replacing the older 50MP telephoto lens. Xiaomi is betting that higher megapixels will appeal more than the additional lens.

Bigger batteries, faster charging

Battery performance is also a highlight. The global Redmi Note 15 Pro+ comes with a 6,500mAh silicon-carbon battery, slightly smaller than the 7,000mAh unit in the Chinese version, but it supports faster 100W charging.

The Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G offers an interesting compromise, powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400-Ultra and featuring an IP69K rating, making it highly resistant to water and dust. The base Redmi Note 15 models use Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 (5G) and Helio G100-Ultra (4G) chips.

Pricing and availability

Globally, prices start around $250 and reach up to $600 for the 512GB Redmi Note 15 Pro+. Pre-orders will open on January 5, 2026. With large batteries, a 200MP camera, and robust software support, Xiaomi is aiming to make the Redmi Note 15 series a compelling option in the crowded mid-range market.
