DHAKA: Funeral prayers of Bangladesh’s youth leader Osman Hadi was performed on Saturday in Dhaka. Hundreds of mourners participated in the prayers.
The body of the 32 year old spokesperson for Inquilab Moncho (Platform for Revolution) was brought from Singapore yesterday.
Hadi was shot dead by suspected Indian RAW agents on December 12 and was transported to Singapore for advanced medical care but he succumbed to his injuries.
The paryers was also attended by Bangladesh’s chief executive Mohammad Younas. Large number of people attended the funeral held at at the South Plaza of Bangladesh’s parliament house, known locally as Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban.
He would be laid to rest in Dhaka University
Bangladesh is observing a national day of mourning ahead of Sharif Osman Hadi’s funeral.
The national flag was flown at half-mast on all public and private buildings to mark the occasion.

The suspected shooters in the killing of Osman Hadi have been identified after footage emerged showing two individuals crossing the Petrapole-Benapole border from India.
According to sources, the footage is dated December 6, 2025. The footage also shows the two alleged suspects crossing the border between India and Bangladesh.
