Junaid Safdar’s wedding date and bride revealed

Junaid Safdar's second wife and wedding date

Junaid Safdar, son of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, is reportedly set to marry Shanza Sheikh, granddaughter of senior political figure Sheikh Rohail Asghar, in a ceremony scheduled for January 16 to 18, 2026.

Preparations for Junaid’s wedding are reportedly in full swing, with family members closely involved in the arrangements.

According to reports, the marriage proposal was finalised with the help of Maryam Nawaz’s eldest daughter and her husband, Raheel Munir.

Sheikh Rohail Asghar shared that the family was delighted upon learning of the match, noting that former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif personally hosted a dinner to formalise the relationship. “The warmth and hospitality extended by Maryam Nawaz and Nawaz Sharif left a lasting impression on my wife,” he added.

According to Dunya News, the Mehndi ceremony and the Walima will both be held at Jati Umra, the Sharif family’s residence, and will be private, attended only by close family members. Sources say Shanza Sheikh is a close friend of Maryam Nawaz’s daughter Mahnoor, further strengthening ties between the two families.

This will be Junaid Safdar’s second marriage. He was previously married to Ayesha Saif, daughter of former NAB chairman and Qatar-based businessman Saifur Rahman Khan. The couple married in 2021 at The Lanesborough in London during Nawaz Sharif’s exile and divorced amicably in October 2023.

The upcoming wedding has already drawn attention across Pakistan’s political and social circles, highlighting another union between prominent political families.
