ISLAMABAD: Pakistanis searched from military personalities, cricket, current affairs, daily life questions to recipes in 2025, according to Google trends data.

During the first half of 2025 during the Pakistan-India tensions the search interest spiked for Air Vice Marshal Aurangzeb Ahmed, PAF spokesperson, dominated searches due to his charm, calmness and wit.

Later in the year, cricket took over again and Indian opener Abhishek Sharma topped athlete searches in Pakistan.

Pakistani cricketers like Hassan Nawaz, Irfan Khan Niazi, Sahibzada Farhan, and Muhammad Abbas also stayed among top Google searches.

Pakistan vs South Africa clashes drew the most interest. The Pakistan Super League was the most searched tournament.

The Asia Cup ranked third among cricket searches in Pakistan. Globally, it became the second most searched sporting event as it ended in controversy over the trophy ceremony.

Pakistani dramas also topped entertainment searches. The top most dramas that were searched included action-packed serials such as Sher, Mohra, Dayan, and Dunyapur.

People looked up recipes and the top Google trends search for 2025 was for sandwiches.
