Islamabad: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has imposed a blanket ban on the organisation of domestic cricket tournaments without prior approval, sources said on Friday. Additionally, strict disciplinary action is expected to be taken against the violators.
According to sources, obtaining formal permission from the PCB has now been made mandatory for organising any cricket tournament.
This is an effort to help ensure quality and regulation in domestic cricket in Pakistan.
Players found participating in events held without authorisation will face severe penalties, including possible bans.
