Web Desk: A large number of Indians face deportation from different countries. The Indian citizens were deported from various countries in 2025, according to reports by Gulf media.

“A total of 24,600 Indians were sent back from different countries during the year” the report revealed. In the various countries Saudi Arabia topped the list from where deporting the highest number of Indian nationals. According to details a total of 10,884 Indians were deported from the Kingdom that include 7,019 from Riyadh and 3,865 from Jeddah.

The United States under the Trump administration deported 3,812 Indian citizens, Gulf media said. And, the United Arab Emirates sent back 1,469 Indian nationals back.

According to Gulf media along with these countries several other nations also deported Indian citizens in record numbers during 2025 that highlighted a sharp rise in global deportations.

Bangladesh suspends Indian visas at Delhi High Commission, Agartala border


Earlier it was reported that Bangladesh suspended visa services for Indians at the Delhi High Commission and Agartala border crossing.

“Due to unavoidable circumstances, all consular and visa services from the Bangladesh High Commission in New Delhi are temporarily suspended until further notice. Any inconvenience caused is sincerely regretted,” the Bangladesh High Commission said in a notice.

It is pertinent to mention that violent protests erupted in several cities across Bangladesh following the death of prominent youth leader Sharif Osman Hadi at Singapore’s General Hospital.

Following the incident, India reportedly issued death threats against another leader, escalating tensions.

Hadi, an outspoken critic of India, died from gunshot wounds sustained in an assassination attempt.

On Thursday, protesters, seeking the repatriation of former Prime Minister (PM) Sheikh Hasina, were stopped from marching towards an Indian diplomatic mission.

Ties between the two countries have been frosty since Sheikh Hasina fled to India following a student-led uprising last year.
