Murree: Authorities issue weather advisory amid rain and snowfall in Murree, urging tourists to exercise caution and prepare adequately before travelling.

Deputy Commissioner Murree Agha Zaheer said visitors should check the latest weather conditions before starting their journey, as changing conditions could affect road access and visibility. The advisory comes as Murree braces for continued rain and snowfall, which often lead to traffic congestion and hazardous driving conditions.

Meanwhile, the district administration made the use of tire chains mandatory in snowfall-prone areas. Officials said the measure aims to prevent skidding and accidents on steep and slippery roads, which are common during winter weather.

In addition, tourists were advised to keep vehicle tires properly deflated for better traction and ensure fuel tanks are kept full to avoid breakdowns or delays in freezing conditions.

Separately, Deputy Commissioner Agha Zaheer Abbas Shirazi urged travelers to cooperate fully with traffic police and follow official instructions. He said coordinated efforts between authorities and visitors are essential to maintain traffic flow and ensure public safety during adverse weather.

The administration said it remains on alert and will continue monitoring conditions, adding that timely compliance with advisories could help avoid emergencies and ensure a safer travel experience for visitors to the resort town.
