Peshawar: New oil and gas reserves have been discovered in the Kohat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to the Oil and Gas Development Company Limited, a new oil and gas reserve has been discovered in the Kohat district and this reserve has been discovered from a well named Barzai XO-1 located in the Nishpa block.
OGDCL said that according to initial tests, 4100 barrels of crude oil are expected to be produced per day, while along with oil, 10.5 million standard cubic feet of gas will also be produced from this well per day.
The oil and gas company further said that 5,170 meters of drilling were done in the ground to discover oil and gas. OGDC, PPL and Government Holdings Private Limited are partners in the project.
