Balochistan's Pink Bus service launched for female commuters

Web desk: Pink Bus service has begun in Balochistan province, specifically for women and female students, after it was inaugurated by Balochistan Chief Minister, Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, on Friday.

On the social media platform X, formerly Twitter, Bugti shared the news, stating, “Praise be to Allah, at the start of the year, the Pink Bus service has been launched for the first time in Balochistan for women and female students.”

Bugti stated that the Pink Bus service can make daily travel safe and dignified for the female commuters in the province.

He further stated that the Balochistan government’s top priority is to advance this facility on a permanent basis.

Adding further, that in the future, its scope will be expanded to other districts.

The Pink Bus Service will help deal with transport challenges faced by women. Especially students and working professionals.

Karachi double-decker bus service

Recently, the Sindh government announced that the Karachi double-decker bus service will start in Karachi.

Sindh Minister for Information, Transport, and Mass Transit Sharjeel Inam Memon said the service would be a New Year gift for the people of the city.

The Sindh Mass Transit Authority confirmed that the buses will operate on Shahrah-e-Faisal. It will run between Model Colony and Tower.

Each double-decker bus can accommodate around 115 to 120 passengers.
