Laurentian university scholarships 2026: see eligibility, amount, programs

Laurentian University has announced the Laurentian University scholarships 2026 for both local and international students.

Laurentian University, officially known as the Laurentian University of Sudbury, is a public university in Greater Sudbury, Ontario, Canada.

According to the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP), the scholarships will be offered to undergraduate, master’s, and PhD students.

The aim is to provide talented and hardworking students with better opportunities for higher education out of the country.

The university administration has also stated that undergraduate scholarships are worth up to CAD 60,000 in total.

The amount will be distributed at CAD 15,000 per year and is renewable. The renewal is based on academic performance.

For postgraduate students, the university is offering Graduate Teaching Assistantships and other fellowships.

Master’s students can receive up to CAD 10,034 per year. PhD students can get up to CAD 14,547 annually as part of assistantships.

The scholarship duration is two years for master’s programmes and four years for PhD programmes.

Eligibility criteria

Applicants must meet the eligibility requirements. Undergraduate applicants should have a good academic record.

Master’s and PhD candidates must hold a relevant bachelor’s degree with at least a 75 percent score or a B+ grade.

Some programmes may also require supervisor approval.

IELTS is not mandatory for these scholarships, but other language requirements may apply depending on the programme.

Students from all countries, including Pakistan, are eligible to apply.

How to apply

The deadline to apply for these scholarships is June 15, 2026.

Students should first apply to their chosen programme through Laurentian University’s online portal.

After receiving an admission offer, students can continue with their visa applications.

Successful candidates will receive further scholarship details through email.
