Biman Bangladesh Airlines to Launch Direct Dhaka–Karachi Flights from January 29

Dhaka Flight

Biman Bangladesh Airlines has announced the launch of direct flights from Dhaka to Karachi, restoring air connectivity between Pakistan and Bangladesh after many years.

The first flight will reach Karachi from Dhaka on January 29, the private media channel reported.

Initially, Biman will run two flights per week on the route, taking an important initiative in improving aviation ties between Pakistan and Bangladesh.

The resumption of direct flights is expected to boost people-to-people contact, trade, and travel, and is being seen as a positive move toward strengthening bilateral relations.

Biman Bangladesh Airlines has already opened bookings for the Dhaka–Karachi route, and the response has been strong.

According to the media report, seats on the new flights sold out within hours of reservations opening, showing strong demand for a direct air link that has been unavailable for years.

Aviation officials also confirmed that the return of direct flights has created excitement among travellers in both countries, particularly businesspeople, families, and expatriates.
