Government open to dialogue with opposition: Tariq Fazal Chaudhry

Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhary on Thursday described dialogue as the essence of democracy and said the government is ready to hold talks with the opposition on all issues.

Speaking on the matter, he said the prime minister has invited the opposition for negotiations on five different occasions. He stressed that dialogue remains the solution to every problem and urged Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to clear internal confusion over talks with the government.

Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhary said PTI leaders appear divided in their stance on negotiations. He added that the opposition can also use the office of the Speaker of the National Assembly to initiate dialogue with the government.

He urged the opposition to play an active role in Parliament, saying the prime minister is committed to establishing a model of good governance. He added that the government is making continuous efforts to improve the country’s economic situation.

Pakistan Tehreek e Insaaf (PTI) has lost its popularity among the youth, according to the Political Survey 2026 conducted by the Research and Analytics Institute (RAI) of Pakistan.

The survey was conducted amongst 25,000 plus youth.

40 per cent of the youth are satisfied with the performance of the current government, according to the survey findings.
