Trump tells Cuba to make a deal or face end of oil, money

Donald Trump, on January 11 has urged Cuba to make a deal or face consequences. He warned Cuba that the flow of Venezuelan money and oil would stop now.

Since the US forces have successfully captured Venezuela’s President Nicolas Maduro on January 3, the US President has turned his attention to Cuba.

Cuba and Venezuela have been long-standing allies of one another. Venezuela is believed to send 35,000 barrels of oil a day to Cuba.

He said on Sunday on his Truth social account, “Cuba lived, for many years, on large amounts of OIL and MONEY from Venezuela. In return, Cuba provided ‘Security Services’ for the last two Venezuelan dictators, BUT NOT ANYMORE!”

He further added:

“THERE WILL BE NO MORE OIL OR MONEY GOING TO CUBA – ZERO! I strongly suggest they make a deal, BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE.”

Trump just used the word deal he did not specify the terms or explain what he meant by them. He also did not explain what kind of consequences Cuba will face.

Maduro’s personal security detail was also supplied by Cuba for years. The Cuban government has said that 32 of its nationals were killed during the US operation.

Trump said on Truth Social, “Most of those Cubans are DEAD from last week’s USA attack, and Venezuela doesn’t need protection anymore from the thugs and extortionists who held them hostage for so many years.”

He further added, “Venezuela now has the United States of America, the most powerful military in the World (by far!), to protect them, and protect them we will.”

The Cuban government has not responded to Trump’s latest threats yet. The President of Cuba has previously said that the 32 brave combatants who died in Venezuela will be honoured for taking on the terrorists in imperial uniforms.
