Wahab on PTI policitcs

Karachi Mayor Barrister Murtaza Wahab has stated that PTI’s political activities are welcome in the city, but any attempt to spread propaganda or create unnecessary chaos will not be tolerated.

Referring specifically to the Bagh Jinnah rally, Wahab said that it is a large ground and not easy to fill, adding that there are no ‘servants’ and that the Sindh government will also provide staff for arrangements. He said workers would be directed to go to Bagh Jinnah and made it clear that blocking roads in the city would not be allowed under any circumstances.

Moreover, he warned that creating disorder under the guise of politics is completely unacceptable.

The mayor announced that the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) will spend Rs 46 billion on development projects across the city during the current year. He said that upgrading the old city area with modern urban facilities is a top priority and that several water supply projects will be launched in the coming weeks.

Addressing the issue of water theft, Murtaza Wahab said that a special court will be established to deal with such cases. He added that strict legal action will be taken against both government officials and private individuals found involved in water theft.

The mayor assured citizens that development and infrastructure works are being carried out across Karachi and that efforts are underway to provide modern civic facilities. He emphasized that political activities should be held at suitable locations so that the normal life of the city is not disrupted and civic services can continue without hindrance.
